Anglo American is one of the world's largest diversified mining companies, with deep South African roots and a primary listing in London and secondary listing on the JSE. It mines and markets a portfolio of commodities including copper, iron ore, platinum-group metals (through Anglo American Platinum), diamonds (via De Beers) and steelmaking coal, with operations across Africa, the Americas and Australia. A Top 40 JSE constituent, Anglo's share price is highly sensitive to global commodity prices and demand from China and other industrialising economies.
